History

The Fondation de l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner Hospital Foundation, town of Kapuskasing, was incorporated by letters patent, granted by the Province of Ontario on July 8, 2019.

Intent

It is the intent of the Fondation de l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner Hospital Foundation to serve Sensenbrenner Hospital’s catchment area from Fauquier Strickland to Opasatika.

Mission

The Foundation's mission is to receive, manage and administer donations, oversee special projects, and coordinate various activities aimed at benefiting Sensenbrenner Hospital and fostering healthier communities across the region.

Priority areas

1. To provide resources to support Sensenbrenner Hospitals mandate to replace fully depreciated capital equipment, to acquire capital equipment essential to achieve current standards of patient care, and to provide the best patient care.

2. To provide resources in order to maintain high-quality health care, improve services, and to support the sustainability of the local community. Services encompass primary and secondary care, long-term care, palliative care, and health promotion.

3. To advance education and research on promoting healthy lifestyles within our communities and to ensure the delivery of a secure, welcoming, and modern environment for all residents in the area.

4. To deliver services based on needs within a collaborative and cooperative environment involving all stakeholders, with a focus on serving the public, including the Francophone population.
